Record

Learn how to capture the recording of your program

Using RevDeBug is as simple as using remote control.
One thing you obviously need is a C# or Visual Basic project. If you want sample project for getting started you can clone our Demo Apps Repository.
All you have to do to start recording is to ensure, that Use RevDeBug Compiler Button is turned on (should be green) you can find it in RevDeBug Menu

or on your toolbar

Next, click on REC button. REC can be found in RevDeBug Toolbar

and in RevDeBug Control Panel (You can open Control Panel from RevDeBug menu)

Your application will be built with RevDeBug Compiler. If current solution is compiled with RevDeBug for the first time RevDeBug Configurator will be displayed.

In this window, you can choose, whether you want to save your recording on disk, or send it directly to IDE (1), Specify the destination of recording, if saving to disk is selected (2), and choose, which projects you want to record (3).

After rebuilding is done your application will run. Perform any actions you want to have recorded.
When you stop your program, recording will be loaded automatically to your IDE where you have ability to Review and Search through it.

The default path to generated recording is

%userprofile%\documents\RevDeBug\SolutionName\Recordings
